Happy Friday! Phew! I made it through the week. This week actually went by quickly for me which I am grateful for because a had a bad day in there somewhere. Now that it's over, cheers to the weekend!Today I joined Eboni from Fashionista Next Door on her Style Me Friday inspiration. This week's inspiration is pink jeans or pants. While my pants aren't necessarily pink, it is close enough and pinkish. *winks* I've also linked up with the Aloha Friday, Friday's Five and Sisterhood Saturday blog hops. Join In!

Obviously I really like stripes. I like them in most colors but black and white are my favorite. This collection shows a few pieces I'd rock.

Happy Hump Day! I hope your week is going smoothly like mine is. The weekend will be here before you know it which is always good. As I frequently mention, I love stripes!! I decided to wear stripes again today. This striped top has both small and large horizontal stripes which I think is really cool.

Gold Sequins

This past weekend was busy as predicted. Unfortunately, I didn't get to complete my sewing project but I did cut out the pattern pieces and pin them down to the fabric. It's a start! Saturday, Mel took two of her god kids to see the movie The Croods. It was so funny! If you have any children make sure you take them to see it. Even if you don't you should check it out. I think I was the loudest one laughing in the theater. Sunday was a beautiful warm day out in the bay. We spent the day outdoors and basked in the sun. Okay, we didn't bask, but we did enjoy the warmth. I decided to wear a skirt which I rarely do and I'm becoming more open minded about it. Here's how I styled my gold sequin skirt.

Did you do anything exciting this past weekend?

Do you know what today is? It's Friday! Yay, Yay, YAY!! We have so much going on this weekend. There's drinks with a friend in SF tonight. This should be relaxing being that I don't drink anymore. Is it weird to be the only person sober at a bar? Well good thing it's more of a lounge. I dedicated most of my Saturday on attempting to begin and finish (possibly) to sew a pair of ankle pants from scratch. I hope all goes well. I purchased the fabric and pattern back in December and have yet to take it out of the bag. I'm actually very very afraid but I'm sure I'm making it harder than it really is. I will post pics once completed (fingers crossed). Sunday is the usual laundry and grocery day plus Mel and I are having an early dinner with friends. This should be awesome because one of them is a very good cook and I love to eat. Fun!

I've linked up with Eboni from Fashionista Next Door for her Style Me Friday inspiration.Today's outfit is centered on white denim or white pants. I've also linked up with Amy from Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins.

What do you have planned this weekend?

Stripes + Oxfords

Happy Spring! Today is the first day of spring which means less layers, brighter colors, and lighter fabrics. Unfortunately for me it's cold, rainy, and foggy. That didn't stop me from wearing my favorite blazer which helps to brighten any gloomy day.

It's hard to tell in the pics but in case you were wondering the jeans are navy in color, the blouse is yellow, white, mint, and navy striped, and the blazer is red.
Did you wear something bright or with a pop of color today?

This past weekend I scored some free tickets from GoldStar to the Vintage Fashion Expo in San Francisco and dragged along Mel with me. There were lots of nice vintage finds at the expo but the prices were out of the roof. $285 for a pink dress from the 50s. $695 for a floral dress and cropped jacket. Really? Everything wasn't that expensive but most of it was. Mel did find a really cool vintage bomber jacket but decided against purchasing it. I found some awesome high waisted colored jeans by Wrangler. One was pink and the other was green. Too bad neither fit. It stated that it was size 9/10 but I guess I'm bigger than I really think I am. Other than that we had a great time and would probably visit again.

How did you spend your weekend?

Going Green

In spirit of Saint Patty's Day, I like to share a few green items that I like and would love to own and wear. I'm working on getting the Dr. Marten's for summer. I may get a different color though since the green docs seem to be popular choice. I love stripes and you can never go wrong with stripes nor dots of any color.
