After being styled at the Gap/Lookmazing event a couple of weeks ago, I saw quite a few items that I would love to have in my closet. Hopefully I can make 1, 2, or 3 pieces magically appear ASAP.

Outfit Crush: High Tops

The outfit crush of the week is worn by Sheryl from Walk in Wonderland. I love this androgynous look on her and it has me written all over it. The high top sneakers are what really drew me in and looks awesome with the long coat in my opinion. It's a mix of casual and polished maybe. Whatever it is, I can't wait to style snatch this look. I would style my version with a black trench coat and some high top Chucks because you can never go wrong with a pair of Chucks.

Outfit Crush: Leather Pants

This week's outfit crush is worn by Julianne Hough. This look is simple but with the mix of textures it becomes fab. The leather pants are a nice touch but the patent leather oxfords are my favorite item in this look. The gray sweatshirt keeps it casual and even though this particular one comes with an attached collar, this look can still be achieved with the right shirt. I don't own any real or faux leather pants or leggings but black denim or coated jeans will work just as well.

Outfit Crush: Red Beanie

This week's outfit crush is worn by Cara Delevingne. Her off duty street style is always relaxed and comfortable. What makes this look perfect is that anyone can recreate it. It has simple pieces and looks effortless and stylish at the same time. You can also wear any style of boots with this look such as combat boots. My favorite piece in this look of course is the red beanie. I just love beanies and hats in particular. Here's her look for less.

ModCloth

Last week I was contacted by ModCloth to participate in a styling campaign called Uniquely You. The challenge is to create a look on Polyvore based around one specific item or accessory that is presented to you. Up to 7 additional items from the Modcloth site can be added to complete the look. The item for this week was the Palette on Parade dress. As some of you guys know, I'm not a big fan of dresses but I do love a challenge. I made the dress more fitting to my style by adding a moto jacket and a pair of ankle boots to add some edginess to it. Simple accessories and a bag similar in color to the boots finished off the look.

What do you guys think about this look? What items would you add to make it Uniquely You?

Outfit Crush: Tomboy Chic

This week's outfit crush is from Zoe Saldana. I love this look on Zoe because I'm used to seeing photos of her wearing dresses and heels. I like that she is wearing a cute dressed down look that she totally pulls off. Refinery29 calls this look preppy maybe because of the blazer and oxfords being worn together but I think it's more on the tomboy side. It's right up my alley and I'd definitely rock it any time. Here's her look for less.

Outfit Crush: Winter Sweater

I came across this cute layered look on Style Caster last week and it shared 50 winter outfits to copy right now. There were quite a few that I saved to my inspiration list and this is one of my favs. It is worn by blogger Irena from A Portable Package who's also a dentist by day. Pretty cool, huh? She has a really nice style with looks that most of us would love to copy and make our own.

This week's fantasy list is all about tops (plus a shoe). I've always believed that if you have plenty of tops and a few nice pairs of shoes, you can create plenty of different looks to wear.
What item do you have more of in your closet?

My first outfit crush of 2014 is from Mimi over at Mimi G Style. Mimi has a great style and makes most of her own awesome clothing. She usually styles her outfits on the dressier side so it's always a treat for me when she decides to keep it casual. Both of these looks include jogger/harem pants and I did own a pair but it wasn't what I had in mind fabric wise. Hopefully I can find a better pair so I can recreate one or both of these casual cool looks because I just might be too tall for them.

Not everyone may be into this style of pants but I think anyone can get away with it if styled properly and the crotch isn't super low. It also looks just as great styled with a pair of heels. Oh and if you're thinking it's too cold to wear this look now, you should come on over to Cali. ;-) Harem pants can easily be winterized by wearing layers on top such as a chunky knit scarf, sweater or beanie.

Outfit Crush: Layers

Two weeks in a row. I know and I promise you it's not more than a crush. :-)
Another simple and chic look styled by Cheryl from Walk in Wonderland wearing these awesome booties. I don't like wearing heeled shoes but it looks nice with this layered look. I think it's safe to say that your shoes can make up a large percentage of your outfit at times but I think the tee is what really pops out for me.
I'm going to try to recreate it this weekend. I just need to find somewhere to go.

Outfit Crush: Gold Flats

This week's outfit crush is very simple and casual yet oh so cute. Blogger Sheryl Luke from Walk in Wonderland knows how to make casual look really good. The gold metallic loafers really bring the outfit together in my opinion.
When I recreate this look, I will add a nice thick scarf since the weather has been colder than usual. I think winter may officially be here to stay in the East Bay but knowing CA's unpredictable weather, a nice unseasonably warm day may be upon us soon.

Is it extremely cold in your neck of the woods or can you still get away with not having to wear a heavy winter coat?

Outfit Crush: Plaid Pants

This week's outfit crush is one by Kim from eat.sleep.wear. This look first caught my eye a few weeks ago while scrolling through my instagram feed. I instantly took a snapshot! This type of plaid with the greens and blues is called black watch plaid and I like it as much as the typical red and black tartan.
I loved that Kim dressed down the slacks and rolled them over some ankle boots and she styled the pants several different ways on her website. The look with the cardigan is my favorite but I like it with the striped sweater too.

This pair of plaid pants that Kim is wearing is from Loft and it's sold out but H&M has a cute pair, if it hasn't sold out too. You can also check out this pair from Forever21. How do you feel about plaid pants?

Have a great Thanksgiving!!
