Remix'd: Denim Jacket

    | 30 comments
denim jacket diy {who is that girl mo?}
My son outgrew one of his denim jackets so of course I took it and made it more fun. I applied a printed sheet to the back panel and on the front of the pockets. I thrifted the sheet but you can use anything you want such as a graphic tee.

Happy middle of the week day! Not everyone likes it when you say hump day, so that's my alternative. At least for now. Last Sunday we went to see Hangover 3 and it was hilarious, seriously funny. It's supposedly the last part of the movie but the way it ended it's quite possible that there may be another one. You guys should check it out if you haven't already.

The weather was sunny but breezy and I wanted to wear something different so out came my version of the bohemian style. The midi length skirt was actually a vintage gap dress that I cut and added elastic to the waist and took in the sides because it was just too big. I paired it with a crop top that I thrifted and a pair of high top chucks the same color as one of the flowers in the skirt. The denim jacket and fedora were added to keep everything in place from the breeze. The top half of the dress I cut into a button up crop top

What do you think about my boho style?

This past weekend I scored some free tickets from GoldStar to the Vintage Fashion Expo in San Francisco and dragged along Mel with me. There were lots of nice vintage finds at the expo but the prices were out of the roof. $285 for a pink dress from the 50s. $695 for a floral dress and cropped jacket. Really? Everything wasn't that expensive but most of it was. Mel did find a really cool vintage bomber jacket but decided against purchasing it. I found some awesome high waisted colored jeans by Wrangler. One was pink and the other was green. Too bad neither fit. It stated that it was size 9/10 but I guess I'm bigger than I really think I am. Other than that we had a great time and would probably visit again.

How did you spend your weekend?

Mid-Week OOTD - Preppy

This past week has been very busy for me and I'm not sure why when I really don't have much of a life. WEIRD. I can't even recall what I've been up to but apparently I didn't have time for my blog. I told myself that I will definitely post my weekly Wednesday outfits no matter what because once a week is better than none. I do have some DIY projects coming so look out for that.

I decided to go a little preppy today. Here's what I wore.
