Amber from Real Girl Glam has presented another style challenge for us bloggers and this month's inspiration is based on all white or white on white. I love white tees and button ups and sometimes I buy in pairs because white just don't stay white no matter how hard you try not to get it dirty. This is why I don't have many white pieces other than shirts. The last time I bought white jeans since my most recent pair was when I was in high school. That's saying a lot because that's was an extremely long time ago. :-) I do have an off white blazer and dress so I decided to go with two different looks for this challenge. The entry date isn't until Friday so I'm a little early but that just means it's still time for you to enter.
Outfit 1: Tank - H&M | Jeans - Ross | Boots - Target
Outfit 2: Dress - Old Navy | Blazer - H&M | Boots - Shoe Dazzle
Last Thursday I had the opportunity to assist and put together a couple of outfits for one of the designers at a fashion show. The show started at 10:30 pm and I had to be on location at 8 pm with the models to help with whatever was needed. Of course I didn't leave the house until 8 but I made it into SF in about 18 mins. :-) This was fun event and it helped me to gain a little more experience with styling and working behind the scenes in the fashion field. It was pretty hectic backstage but overall I had a good time. I kept my look funky with some black faux leather shorts and some chucks. I had to make sure I was comfortable and prepared for all of the running around I had to do. I think I'm ready for the next one.
Usually if you see me in a pair of slacks it either means I have a job interview or I didn't have anything else to wear. Not just any pair of slacks, trousers or pants. The dressy slacks, you know the ones that are a little wide in the legs and corporate women wear. You know what I'm talking about. Well, that is the inspiration behind this week's Style Me Friday challenge. I didn't have an interview to go to and I had plenty of other bottoms to wear. These pants which is a red orange color, are considered dressy to me and I didn't have a hot date so me being Mo, I dressed them down just a bit. I rocked it with a graphic tee, gold metallic flats and a white blazer. My accessories include a gold statement necklace (I ordered from ebay for about $3 and it only took almost 3 months to receive. Yay!), gold bangles, and gold drop earrings.
