Cute and Casual

I don't shop that often but when I do I usually end up back at the store to make returns. For me, I can't just return the items that I changed my mind about, I have to go and search for something better. Always! Both the bomber jacket and the sneaker wedges were scored on separate return trips. I believe I was in Nordstrom Rack at least 3 times in 1 week. I guess the point of all of this is to say uh, I don't know. I just thought I'd share.

If you don't already know about Poshmark, you should. Poshmark is a free app that makes it easy to buy and sell your new or gently used clothing and shoes. It's really simple and I've sold quite a few pieces from my closet. I was invited to Poshmark's live Posh Party in San Francisco last night and I made sure I was there. It was held later in the evening at a nice hotel/restaurant and it included 2 free drinks. :-)

This week's style trend for Mamanista Fridays is floral. I own a pair of floral jeans and a pair of floral boots. I decided to switch things up a bit and wear both floral pieces together. When I put it together in my head I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't work but the denim shirt helped to balance out the prints. I added a pink tee to bring out the pink in both the jeans and boots.

In keeping up with the sporty look this week I decided to style a pair of men's drop crotch pants that I've bought not too long ago from Jack Threads. Mel has a matching pair too and she's worn hers already. I promise we won't dress like twins and wear it on the same day. Well maybe. ;-) At first we weren't quite sure whether or not to keep them because it is pretty different but different can be cool so we decided to keep them. They are really soft and comfortable and it looks like a pair of pajama pants in my opinion. I paired mine with some black combat boots and wore layers on top with a mineral wash denim shirt and an tribal print tank. The pants would also look good worn with a crop top and a beanie. Have a great weekend and if you're going out dancing don't forget to drop it like it's hot!!

It's menswear Thursday and I didn't get a chance to style Mel this week so I created a board. This is a cool weekend fit to just chill with some friends or maybe do a little shopping in the city. I kept the outfit casual and cool. Mel may or may not wear everything on this board(she went to bed early) but I'm almost sure she would. I like it and I even added a cap because it's what she loves. What do you think about this outfit?

Tribal & Lace + Neon

Hey! Today's post is going to be short as I have a long weekend ahead. I'm wearing this nice tribal printed high low top that I found at F21. The top half on the back of the shirt is lace. This detail is what really sold me on buying it. I kept it simple with some black skinny pants and threw in a pop of neon, not with a bag, not with a statement necklace but with my kicks.Yeah I know, I'm different. Well, just a little. I included the usual stack of diy bracelets and a pair of hoop earrings.
