Melswear: Tickle me Pink

It's Melswear Thursday! Time for some personal styling on menswear. This week Mel decided to dress it up a bit since she was attending a marketing conference. She wanted to keep it business casual so we styled her in a tweed blazer, pink fitted button down, dark blue denim, and gave it a pop with some two toned oxfords. Later that evening I took her out to catch a movie since I scored some free movie passes. We ended up watching Tyler Perry's Temptation. It was cool. You know the typical TP movie. Pretty much predictable. If you want to check it out maybe you should wait until it hits Netflix. Here's the complete look..

What movies have you seen recently?

Melswear: Color Blocked

It's been a while since Mel has allowed me to take photos of her in different outfits. She allows me to pick out her outfits frequently but won't let me take any photos. So you can imagine how happy I was when she said I can. Yay, yay! This outfit features the color block trend. I got the inspiration from Isaiah over at A Collected Gentlemen. Check out his blog. I will try to have one post a week based on menswear.

How does your significant other wear the color block trend?

Camo

For the past week up until now, I have been sick with a cold and a very bad cough that seems like it doesn't plan on going anywhere. I have been out of work this week so there will not be a mid-week work ootd. I couldn't leave you guys hanging so here's an outfit that I have worn that had yet made it to a blog post.

Camo (camouflage) looks good on everyone. There are tons of options on how it can can be styled. It can be worn loose or fitted. It can be dressed up or down. There are camo pants, shirts, shorts, jackets, and socks. The colors can be green, brown, or black camo. I've even seen pink camo out there somewhere. It all depends on what kind of mood you're in. Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll look good. This is one way that I styled my camo pants.

What do you think of the camo trend? Do you have anything in camo print?

MOC: Bow Ties

Bow ties are awesome and look great with almost anything from casual to dressed up. I'm talking about the bow ties that you have to tie yourself. Not a clip on. I think those are for little boys or girls. We're grown here, right? I found a cool cheetah print bow tie that I purchased on Ebay for like $2. You can check out how I styled it on the about me page. Even though it may be a cool accessory to have, it's NOT easy to put together. But I make do as best as I can.
