Lace is the inspiration for this week over at Fashionista Next Door. I do have a lace back shirt and a lace back blazer but I wanted to style my look with a different piece so I made a lace front sweatshirt. It took less than an hour. I used the leftover pieces from the lace curtain which I thrifted and pinned it down to the sweatshirt. I cut off the excess fabric then straight stitched the lace onto the sweatshirt. I also used fray stop on the edge of the lace to stop it from fraying or unraveling. I love it when I can create something new from something that I already have even if I'll only wear it once. Maybe I should start selling them. Either way, I think I'll get plenty of wear from my new top. :-) I kept my look easy and simple with some colored denim and my favorite pair of oxfords.
