Remix'd: Bow Back Tee

    |
bow back tee {who is that girl mo?}
I made this t-shirt during one of my classes with the ladies back in April. Most of the ladies made shredded back tees and I plan on making one of my own soon.

Supplies:
tshirt
scissors
chalk or marking pen
needle and thread (optional)
  • Depending of the length of the t-shirt, mark 3 or 4 lines across the back of the shirt with equal distance between each. Try to mark the lines so that your bra will not show, which I forgot to do.
  • Position the shirt so you can cut along the marked lines without cutting through the front of it. Gently stretch out the cut slits/sections.
  • Using the pieces you just cut out, cut out rectangular strips. These will be used to create the bows.
  • Wrap a strip around the center of each section. You can use the need and thread to stitch in place or you can tie a knot and let hang.
  • I also cut out the neck of the tee, the sleeves, and I shortened the length of it to make it a bit cropped.

  9. ha, this is so cool, and I have been noticing a lot of shred-back Ts (didn't even know they had that name until now...) everywhere now that the weather is warming up. This would be really fun to try...I'll be waiting for your step by step tutorial. LOL!

  10. That is so cool! It can really jazz up a plain top! I wonder if I'd cut wrong and end up with a shirt the size of an eye patch? lol You look great :)
