Remix'd: Sexy Crop Top

    |
sexy crop top {who is that girl Mo?}
I found this DIY tutorial from A Pair and  a Spare on Pinterest and knew I had to give it a try. I first tried it with a white tank but it wasn't long enough. I then thrifted this longer floral tank and it worked out a little better. The top was still a bit short so I had to get a little creative to make it work in the back. Even though it's a bit on the sexier/risque side of what I normally wear, I like how it turned out. This project is really easy and if you decide to make one of your own make sure you use a tank dress.

Supplies:
tank dress or really long tank top
scissors
chalk
  • Put the tank on and make a mark about 2 - 3 inches under your bra strap.
  • Cut along the side seams leaving the seams in place until you get to the marked line.
  • Cut across the top along the mark line. There should now be a big rectangular hole in the back.
  • Turn the top to the front and make a mark in the center of it. You can use a ruler to draw a straight line from top to bottom.
  • Cut along the marked line. It should look like a vest.
  • Put the vest on and wrap the ends over your bra and to your liking. Tuck necessary areas into the bra.
  • Tie the straps in the back and wear hanging or cut shorter and tuck in as I did.
