Remix'd: Contrasting Sleeves

    |
contrast sleeves diy {who is that girl mo?}
I decided to add more oomph to a plain black tee by giving it contrasting sleeves. Since stripes are my favorite print, I used the sleeves from this striped top. If I know I'm not going to wear something more than once, I refashion a refashion. :-)

Supplies:
two shirts
pins
sewing machine
seam ripper
  • Remove the sleeves from both shirts using the seam ripper.
  • Pin the printed sleeve to the solid shirt. Make sure right sides are facing each other.
  • Sew around the armhole. Do the same to other side.
  • You can leave edges as is, or use a zig zag stitch to have cleaner edges.

What color and print would you use for your contrasting sleeve shirt?

  8. Love the colorblock stripes!! My weakness is navy and red stripes, so I'd be interested to see what that would look like! I love that you did this - and your green bottoms were made for you! Carylee | morepiecesofme.com

  15. Thanks! The red and white stripes can still work with another color such as navy. :-)

  16. Hi. Stripes are really in right now so I think I would also chose stripes. I love your coloured jeans. I have a blue pair very similar. I'm now following you on bloglovin. I will leave my link in case you're interested.
