My next DIY project will be a cut out shoulder top. I bought a cute sheer olive colored button up from American Eagle. There's one problem though. My shoulders are too big for it which causes it to stretch across my boobs. I don't like that at all. I didn't want to return the shirt. I got it on sale and it's my favorite color. I had to find a way to make it work. After some googling (is that a word?), this is what I thought would work best. Of course, I could have just removed the sleeves but I like the sleeves. :-) I'm just hoping that the project doesn't become a fail. You'll know if you don't see it on Monday.
I used to be really into cut out shoulder tops, and then my shoulders started getting super cold, lol. So now I only buy them sparingly. But I think it's a great idea to do the DIY cut outs on the top you don't lilke--good way to reinvent it and make it better.

LOL. I guess that's why it's also called the cold shoulder top. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how this DIY turns out. I love the way that first shirt looks with the cutouts.

I'm hoping it turns out great. I'm nervous because the fabric is sheer.
