Remix'd: Crop Top + Printed Pockets

You can create anything from old clothing especially if it is over-sized. It can also be used as a cheaper alternative to buying fabric. I thrifted this maxi dress and out came a crop top and fabric covered pockets on a pair of cut offs . My first idea was to make a two piece short or skirt set but I needed a much larger sized dress. I still like how this turned out because it's still a 2 piece set.  Supplies: fabric or printed clothing item scissors chalk iron liquid stitch

• Cut out two big squares from the fabric.
• Place the square right side up on top of the back pocket.
• Trace around the edges of the back pocket.
• Fold back the edges of the square about 1/4 in away from the marked lines.
• Press down flat with iron around the folded edges or hems.
• Apply liquid stitch to the edges of the back pocket.
• Press the new fabric pocket onto the denim pocket.
• For the top cut about 1 inch longer than desired length and double hem.
