Prepping For Summer

Every week I look forward to participating in a style/trend theme because it allows me to play dress up. This week's theme is Preppy. The preppy style is usually associated with button up shirts and blazers, which I have lots of but I wouldn't considered it to be my go to style. Since the weather is much warmer now and Summer is right around the corner, I styled my striped button up with a pair of polka dot shorts which I made. Now I have two trends in one; preppy and mixed prints. :-) I almost styled this look with my boat shoes but I wasn't going for a country club/beach look and I think it looks better with my oxfords anyway.

    It would probably look good with the boat shoes too, such a fun look and love the shorts. Never thought I would see you wearing such short shorts : ) but they look great on you!
