So far I've been doing well with keep up with my monthly goals of sewing at least 1 clothing item from a pattern. This month I decided to make a pair of cuffed shorts since the weather has been really nice lately. I received the pattern as a free gift when I attended the MimiGStyle Sewing Event last year. The fabric was on sale at Walmart and I bought it at $1 a yard.
I'm still working on finding out my correct pattern size and because of that I felt like the shorts were a bit too big for me. It worked out anyway because I believe that I am actually improving at this sewing from scratch mess. I decided to send the shorts to my mom so I didn't style the shorts but I did create a look with St. Patrick's Day in mind.
Are you ready to wear shorts yet? Did you wear anything green today?

ReplyDeleteI rarely wear shorts (except around the house), even though it's always hot where I live. I just don't love them on me. Never thought about trying to make some though, maybe I'll give it a go....

ReplyDeleteHmm they look like they fit really well. Not good to have them to small b/c they can ride up and these are not doing that, they fall really well.
